Custom Gate Installation For Newstead Abbey Property

At Assured Gate Services, we recently completed an automatic gate installation at a private residential property in Newstead Abbey, Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire. The client requested a modern and secure entrance solution to suit the style of the home and provide remote access.
The gates were custom made to specification. We used aluminium for the frame to keep the structure lightweight yet strong. The infill panels were built from composite boarding to offer a clean finish and long-term durability.

This project formed part of an overall upgrade to the property, and the brief was clear – to create a reliable, safe-operating gate system that complements the residential surroundings.

High-Speed Motors & Remote Monitoring Features

To deliver on performance, we fitted high-speed automation motors. These allow the gates to open and close quickly, which is ideal for private homes with regular vehicle access.

Fast motors also reduce waiting time and improve daily convenience for the client. Despite the speed, these motors operate smoothly, quietly and safely, making them perfect for residential use.

We also fitted remote monitoring technology. This lets the client check the gate status, manage entry permissions and receive notifications. These features were connected via a secure remote access platform, giving the client full control even when off-site.

Bespoke Gate Design & Fabrication

The gates were designed to match the style of the property. The clean horizontal composite boarding provided a contemporary finish, and the aluminium framework was powder-coated to a high standard. This made the gates weather-resistant and visually consistent with the property’s design.

Our team measured and fabricated everything to exact dimensions. Every component was built to order, guaranteeing a perfect fit on site.

Secure Access & Operational Safety

The system included built-in safety features to meet current automation regulations. Obstacle detection sensors and auto-stop functions were installed, making sure the gates stop or reverse when blocked. This prevents injury or damage during operation.

The access system was programmed with multiple entry methods, including remote fobs and keypad access. All equipment used was tamper-resistant and designed for long-term outdoor use.

Groundwork & Cabling

As with every project we complete, the groundwork and electrical supply were completed to a high standard. We laid all necessary cabling underground and kept disruption to a minimum. The area was cleaned and restored once the work was done.

Cable runs were checked for water resistance and future servicing access. We always work to neat and tidy installation standards, meaning long-term service and maintenance can be completed with ease.
